Aquamarine
Aquamarine is a popular gemstone variety of Beryl mineral family, that comes in a large variety of blue color tonality, from a light pale blue to deep blue with strong saturation, aquamarine can also be found with a tint of green. This kind of stones are usually treated by heat to remove the green hue. This is a very popular and well know gemstone, often used in jewelry duo to its hardness of 7/8 on the Mohs mineral scale and its beauty. Also loved by gem collectors, especially when unheated. Aquamarine specimens can be found in these countries: Brazil, Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Zambia and many other countries. It is usually eye clean, but can present some visible inclusions in larger size. Can be shaped and cut in faceted gemstones, beads, cabochon or carved in sculptures.
