Chrome Diopside

Chrome Diopside is characterized by deep bright green color caused by rich chromium deposit when the crystal formed. The largest deposit of this attractive material are in Siberia, Russia and smaller sources can be found in Europe, United States and Canada. Rarely found in large size, natural Chrome Diopside is a gemstone that reminds emerald and tsavorite garnet due to its color hue, but less expensive and softer. It can be used in jewelry but is better avoid set them into rings. The color is a really attractive well saturated bright green, that can become darker in big size gemstones. Usually found in small size, is rare in large size over 5 carats, often cut in beads or cabochon, sometimes can be faceted cut especially small sized gemstones.
