Chrysoberyl
Chrysoberyl is available with a particular color hue which ranges from yellow to green. Chrysoberyl mineral family includes the popular Alexandrite gemstone variety, a very expensive and rare variety of this mineral that presents an interesting color change property and sometimes chatoyancy optical effect in some cabochon shaped gemstones. This is a very hard gemstone with an hardness of 8.5 on the Mohs mineral scale, that makes it perfect to be used in jewelry, is also considered a very interesting gemstone for collectors that loves its luster and sparkle with its high dispersion. Usually found in: Russia, Brazil and Asia can display red, green, yellow, orange, brown, pink, gray, black color hue, showing strong pleochroism. Large size material of this gemstone is rare and very high priced especially for eye clean clarity crystals.
