Prehnite

Prehnite is a Silicate mineral, the colors range from yellowish green to mint green, pale yellow to gray and colorless.
Gem quality material of transparent crystals are rare and usually occurs in small size, so it can be considered a collector’s gem, but sometimes can be used in jewelry. Usually it comes with translucent clarity and is used for gem carving and made into beads, sometimes is cut in cabochon or faceted cut especially octagon emerald cut. The green tone of Prehnite is attractive and is often used in crystal therapy because it is considered a prediction stone and spiritual healers, ideal for stress release. Often some specimens comes with visible black rutile inclusions in the crystal. The rarest gemstones displays chatoyancy cat’s eye effect.
