Scapolite

Scapolite can be found in many colors especially: colorless white, gray, yellow, light brown, orange, pink and purple. Scapolite is a member of the feldspar group of minerals. Usually it has translucent clarity and is often cut into cabochon that help it exhibit a cat’s-eye effect. The effect refers to the sharp ray of white light crossing the cabochon as a center line along its length. It is a nice gemstone with beautiful colors and can be used in jewelry, or stored in gem collections. Scapolite is found in Brazil, Myanmar, US, Russia and more.
